We are a Chico, California-based group dedicated to the defense of human rights and human dignity and to the preservation of democratic values locally, regionally, and nationally through political engagement, direct action, and community collaboration.

Mobilize Action Groups

Indivisible: This group applies political pressure to local, state, and federal representatives in response to executive/congressional actions and to local issues.

Community Alliances: This group relationships with vulnerable groups by attending meetings, worship services, community events, etc..

Signs for Solidarity: This group is a visible, vocal force of love and support for people of color, immigrants, the LBGTQ+ community, religious minorities, and all those who are under increased threat.

Anti-Polarization: This group aims at laying the groundwork for building the difficult dialogue across blue-red lines.

Youth Outreach: This group recruits/networks with local high school and college students interested in Mobilize activities.

WORD (Women on Reproductive Rights): This group responds locally and nationally to challenges to Planned Parenthood and other defenders of women’s health and reproductive rights.

Sustaining Mobilize: This group focuses on the infrastructure for Mobilize, e.g. leadership and facilitation structures, meeting spaces, website, Facebook page, etc..

Education: This group addresses social issues in our local education system, including but not limited to race, class, and gender, through research and dialogue with stakeholders and policymakers.

Environment: This group deals with current environmental matters and works to strengthen existing protections, and protect quality of human life & our environment.
